Responsibilities include batch and streaming ETL/ELT pipelines, Delta Lake medallion architectures, CI/CD for Databricks workflows, performance optimization, and production support. The role is critical for gaining internal Databricks expertise, collaborating closely with data scientists and analytics teams, implementing data governance (Unity Catalog), observability, and best practices, and mentoring junior team members. Strong skills in Python, SQL, PySpark, Delta Lake, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and distributed computing are required, with additional knowledge of MLflow, Terraform, streaming technologies, and containerization being a plus.
