What you’ll do
- Analyze requirements and develop a program compliance matrix for both hardware and software.
- Ensure good communication within the extended technical team, production plant offshore development sites and customers.
- Prepare and conduct action plans to solve system engineering issues.
- Lead the system development actions using FCE tools (JIRA, Confluence, DOORS etc.)
- Establish internal requirements, and interpreter/analyze customer’s requirement.
- Develop the functional analysis, key characteristics, DFMEA and action plans to support them as needed.
- Participate in engineering changes through change control process.
- Assist the Program Functional Safety Leader in analyzing safety requirements from the Customer and establishing corresponding project safety requirements.
- Assist the Program Cybersecurity Leader in reviewing cyber requirements from the Customer and establishing project cybersecurity requirements.
- Support risk management through robust design with compliance to product/process design standards.
- Manage cross-functional reviews for system engineering related work products/deliverables.
- Ensure the System Engineering process is in line with FCE best practices, including ergonomics, ASPICE and ASIL standards.
- Release documentation for the system engineering activity.
- Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management.
What you need to be successful
- 5+ years of experience in System Engineering, ideally within automotive electronics/software development.
- Strong knowledge of System Engineering fundamentals and concepts.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle architecture, vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, …), diagnostic protocols, vehicle dynamics, and interface.
- Skilled in System Architecture, including definition, modelling, and allocation of requirements to system elements (functional, logical, and/or physical models).
- Well-versed in Automotive product development and testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of quality basics such as ISO safety standards.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Strong leadership skills.
- English fluency required (written/spoken).
- Manage complexity, drives results, collaborate with others.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
