What you’ll do
- Define real-time software architecture for SOC platforms
- Lead timing analysis and WCET optimisation activities
- Design deterministic processing pipelines and scheduling strategies
- Drive integration of real-time components with Hypervisor
- Ensure compliance with functional safety timing requirements
- Coordinate with MCU teams on real-time data exchange
- Mentor team members on real-time programming concepts
- Review and approve real-time designs and implementations
- Interface with customers on timing and latency requirements
- Drive performance measurement and optimization
What you need to be successful
- 8-12+ years embedded software development, with 5+ years in real-time systems and timing-critical applications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Expert knowledge of real-time operating systems (QNX, Linux RT)
- Deep experience with timing analysis and WCET calculation
- Strong understanding of scheduling algorithms and priority management
- Proficiency in C/C++ for real-time development
- Knowledge of CPU architectures and cache management
- Experience with timing measurement and profiling tools
- Understanding of functional safety timing requirements
- Strong analytical and optimization skills
- Fluent in English; German is beneficial
Nice to have
- Experience with multicore real-time partitioning
- Knowledge of lock-free programming techniques
- Experience with Hypervisor real-time configurations
- Understanding of AUTOSAR timing protection
- Experience with automotive sensor integration
