What you’ll do
- Analyze hardware schematics, PCB design documents, and component datasheets.
- Perform board-level hardware validation and electrical characterization of automotive ECUs.
- Identify, replace, and validate alternate electronic components through PCB rework and soldering.
- Flash BIOS/Firmware and perform board bring-up for validation activities.
- Execute customer-defined hardware verification test cases and document results.
- Perform electrical measurements using oscilloscopes, DMMs, current probes, thermal cameras, and other lab equipment.
- Prepare validation reports, measurement logs, and defect observations.
What you need to be successful
- Strong understanding of analog/digital electronics and PCB fundamentals.
- Experience in automotive ECU hardware validation and debugging.
- Hands-on experience with PCB rework, soldering, and board bring-up.
- Proficiency with Oscilloscope, Digital Multimeter, Current Probe, Thermal Camera, and TDR equipment.
- Ability to interpret schematics, design documents, and hardware test procedures.
Nice to have
- Experience with BIOS/Firmware flashing.
- Exposure to automotive hardware development processes.
- Knowledge of CAN/LIN/Ethernet-based ECU architectures is an added advantage.
