What you’ll do

• We are seeking a .NET Software Engineer for an exciting and innovative project. This role is part of a closely-knit team focused on projects involving fleet management. You will contribute to integrating CCTV cameras operating on trains, analyzing data streams, and enabling decision-making based on driver behavior, alongside developing innovative features. The team comprises Solution Architects, Middle and Senior Developers, QA professionals and DevOps specialists.
• The project involves building a Cognitive API for Passenger Movement, Door, and Environment Movement. The platform operates in both Cloud and On-Prem environments with Kubernetes, and the services communicate with multiple integration systems for the client. You will work on API integration with trains, collect and coordinate data such as GPS, and track passenger counts and other data points related to train movement.
• Develop and enhance microservices with .NET 5 and 8 migrating to 9.
• Integrate APIs with various systems and devices within the trains.
• Work with Kubernetes, Docker, and Azure to ensure smooth cloud-based and on-premises operations.
• Handle data collection, coordination, and processing to generate reports.
• Work with SQL for data storage and ensure GDPR compliance by handling data securely.
• Collaborate closely with the client and other team members to understand and resolve challenges.
• Maintain autonomy while working in a highly collaborative team.
• This is a collaborative, dynamic team where flexibility, reliability, and proactivity are key. The team often interacts directly with the client, and pressure can come from the client side. Candidates must be comfortable working autonomously while also being able to collaborate effectively when needed.

What you need to be successful

• 5-7+ years of experience as a .NET Software Engineer, with expertise in .NET Core
• Experience working with microservices architecture, Azure, and Kubernetes.
• Proficient in working with SQL and storage tables for frequent operations.
• Familiar with Docker and API Gateways.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
• Ability to adapt to a flexible and dynamic work environment.
• Strong communication skills for direct client interaction.
• Angular (not AngularJS) - We have colleagues dedicated to the FE, but it's good for you to be aware and step in if needed
