What you’ll do

  • We are seeking an experienced IT professional to mentor and develop junior engineers entering their first professional role. This position focuses on building technical capability, engineering discipline, and professional maturity through structured training programs and hands-on guidance.
  • You will design and execute learning programs covering technology fundamentals, development processes, project lifecycles, Agile practices, and modern deployment pipelines, while providing daily technical mentorship and coaching.
  • You should know how to craft effective prompts, iterate on AI-generated code, and blend AI assistance into your workflow. The ideal candidate uses these tools as a force multiplier, leveraging speed while applying human expertise to problem-solving.
  • Design and deliver structured onboarding and continuous learning programs.
  • Provide daily mentorship through code reviews, pair programming, technical walkthroughs, and debugging sessions.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into practical, progressive learning modules.
  • Guide developers in crafting effective prompts, critically evaluating AI-generated code, and knowing when to use AI assistance versus manual coding for optimal results
  • Model professional engineering standards, including documentation, testing discipline, and ethical responsibility.
  • Develop curricula covering programming fundamentals, software architecture, development best practices, and secure coding.
  • Define learning objectives, timelines, milestones, and assessments for junior cohorts.
  • Create hands-on exercises and real-world projects aligned with production environments.
  • Evaluate progress through code reviews, technical assessments, and performance feedback.
  • Introduce Agile methodologies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and technical documentation standards.
  • Train juniors on CI/CD pipelines, including Git workflows, automated testing, build/release processes, and environment promotion (dev, test, staging, production).
  • Teach core DevOps concepts such as monitoring, logging, infrastructure awareness, reliability, and security best practices.

What you need to be successful

  • Object-oriented and/or functional programming
  • RESTful APIs and service-based architecture
  • Relational and NoSQL databases
  • Basic system design principles
  • Machine Learning and Data Science fundamentals
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Agentic AI systems
  • Data pipelines and model lifecycle concepts (training, evaluation, deployment)
  • Responsible and ethical AI practices
  • Proven mentoring and coaching experience
  • Leadership through influence and example
  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Strong organizational skills for managing training plans and evaluations
