What you’ll do
- Develop Mobly-based automation for Wear OS and cross-device scenarios
- Write API coverage, cross-device journey, and end-to-end (E2E) tests
- Fix, validate, and maintain Android Compatibility Test Suite (CTS) and Wear Test Suite (WTS) failures
- Implement and maintain WTS and WTS Verifier tests
- Analyze test failures and implement fixes in both platform-level code and test code
- Design and maintain low-flakiness automation pipelines Create automated performance tests to monitor RAM usage, jank, battery consumption, and initialization latency
- Analyze performance metrics and collaborate with engineers to drive performance improvements
- Build and maintain API performance benchmark infrastructure
- Produce clear technical documentation for test coverage, failures, and remediation actions
What you need to be successful
- Strong programming skills in Python (required), with working knowledge of Kotlin and Java
- Strong debugging and validation skills for Android
- Ability to analyze complex failures and implement fixes in both platform and test frameworks
- Hands-on experience with Mobly
- Solid understanding of cross-device testing
- Experience designing and maintaining performance and benchmark testing infrastructure
- Ability to write clear, structured technical documentation Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with Android compliance suites: CTS, WTS, or GTS
- Experience with Wear OS internals or system-level Android components
- Prior involvement in compliance- or certification-driven projects
- Experience working on large-scale Android platforms
